Summary: A great location! The unit and building could use an update but since the building's lease was just renewed, it's understandable why the tenants didn't want to spend money on the property.The actual unit's location is a gem! The third floor is just high enough that you can enjoy the activities on the beach, yet not be in the thick of it, although parties at the hotel next door can be loud, it always stops by 9:30pm. We really enjoyed watching the people fishing at night on the beach, always exciting to see what the catch was! Having a washer and dryer in the unit was VERY convenient. The kitchen is spacious and easy to work in. It's exactly a 1 mile walk to the Outrigger Waikiki Resort, and just a little further is Target, where you can get everything you need, including groceries, paper towel and toilet paper!The ladies at the Russell Convenience store just next door at the hotel are the sweetest. They always have a smile and fresh coffee at the register.If you're active, there's plenty to do, pickle ball is a few minutes' walk, golf is accessible, but you need a car and a 10K run can be fit in quite easily after Yoga Under the Palms (near the Aquarium). But the best part of it all is the spacious lanai and sunset view that can only be found at San Souci. We stayed for almost 6 weeks, but were told we couldn't stay through New Year's Eve so we moved over to the Prince Waikiki for the last week of our stay, always nice but a totally different vibe.
